The enterprise buys, processes and sells organic grain. It specializes mostly in dry products (buckwheat, spelt, oats, rye, millet and other grains) as well as ready-made grain products (flakes, extruded products, pasta, müsli, bakery products and others).
PRO-BIO Ltd. is the biggest processor of organic food in the Czech Republic. It owns a mill for processing grain, wholemeal flour etc. and also offers after-harvest treatment for farmers (drying, grain-cleaning and storing). The company includes packaging and storing departments and a sample shop in Staré Město.
PRO-BIO is a wholesaler with its own distribution network. It supplies goods to both Czech and foreign retailers and distributors. The range of goods is constantly widening, for instance with the import of foreign organic products and raw materials (eg. fruit and vegetable juices, mustard, ketchup, dressings, pasta, oil, rice, sweet products, etc.). Nowadays there are nearly 400 items on the PRO-BIO list of organic-quality goods.
