Alena Malíková took over as Administrator of the RC, from Jan Látal. The priority was to bring the Regional Centre back to life after a period of certain stagnation, put the accounts in order and, in the second half of the year, to spread the idea of ecological farming within the RC area.

19th October - a get-together with farmers of the Nový Jičín district
23rd November - a visit to ecological farmers in the Jeseníky region
Participation in producing an agro-environmental programme for Poodří protected landscape area - promoting ecological farming as the most natural form of agriculture in a large protected landscape area

Establishment of a new Board of Administrators of the RC has been planned for 2002, as well as visits to all member enterprises within the region, applying for and eventually implementing a grant for EF promotion in the region and also organising a seminar for regional farmers, etc.
