Polabí region is quite large and diverse regarding natural conditions. Despite this its greater part is situated in an area of intense agricultural activity. Therefore there are not many ecological farmers here. A large part of the member base are non-farming companies - retailers, honorary members, the Ministry, foundations etc.

Priorities of 2001
The main priority was to include the farmers in the new system of farming according to Act No. 240 and the Decree - a registration. Another aim was preparation for EF inspection.
Amongst other priorities was the organisation of a "Field Day" at an ecological experimental station of the Czech University of Agriculture in Uhříněves and organising seminars with various EF topics.

- 13th March - a seminar on the Act on EF and registration of ecological farmers
- 3rd July - a "Field Day" with the topic of species for ecological farming
- 17th October - a seminar on organic product sales
- 24th October - a seminar on the Act on EF and inspection
- 27th October - a seminar on vegetable growing and EF inspection
- 31st October - a seminar on sewing methods and plant nutrition in ecological farming
- 7th November - a seminar on weed control
- 9th November - a seminar on meat sales and weed control


There also were numerous consultations provided on farms and over the phone.
